Jack the Ripper is a Maya-Python plugin for building free-form shapes from profile rips. The plugin deconstructs a wide variety of skins/surfaces into structural building elements from which the shape can be built. All the constituting parts are assured to be planar and can typically be fabricated with 2D, machine-controlled cutters.
The plugin is based on the gx procedural design framework.
